Stay busy or take inventory!

We were discussing BUSYISM, that which keeps us from rest and therefore hides our defects of character. Human beings or Human doings? Which are we?

My point, that if we don't take INVENTORY, we don't know who or what we are and the RIP on our tombstone is likely the only peace we can hope to achieve and that one is FINAL. I believe God gave us the idea/commandment of the sabbath or day of rest so that we would take a look at ourselves and determine where our relationships to Him and our fellows stood. BUSYISM hides a lot of sickness. We must take the time to sit with no distractions and let the thoughts feelings and experiences flow.

In today's world, if we don't have a system of determining where we are morally in trouble, we simply will NOT KNOW. The wisdom of the 12 steps (No. 4 specifically) in its simplest design used by the originals (AA's first 100 or so recovered alcoholics, 100, who a few years earlier would have had no hope, short of God's miracle for those He would have chosen),very quickly determined the whereabouts of the troublesome spots and therefore a place to focus effort and discussion and therapy if required.

There has been a lot of talk lately that knocks the 12 step way and its success rates. Please don't accept a word of it, the benefits and results speak through literally 10's of millions of folks who have been positively returned to society, wiser and productive with a Spiritual makeover that made all the difference.

BUSYISM, although it may be financially beneficial is the greatest of deceiving addictions in my opinion. It's Like "let's get through this thing called life as fast as we can and see what we can leave behind!
